Maryland Launches New Public Safety Awareness Campaign
ANNAPOLIS, MD — April 8, 2025 — The State of Maryland today launched a statewide public safety awareness campaign designed to help residents prepare for emergencies, improve safety practices, and access community resources.
The campaign includes online educational materials, community outreach events, and partnerships with local agencies across the state. Officials say the initiative will focus on preparedness, prevention, and public awareness throughout the year.
“Public safety starts with education and preparation,” said Jane Doe, Director of Public Safety Outreach. “This campaign gives Maryland residents easy access to information and resources that can help protect families and communities.”
The campaign website includes:
- Emergency preparedness checklists
- Fire prevention resources
- Severe weather safety information
- Community event schedules
- Public safety contact information
Residents can also sign up for updates and alerts through the agency website.
The first outreach events will begin later this month and will include presentations, demonstrations, and opportunities for residents to ask questions and connect with local public safety professionals.
